Eva Rodriguez Rodriguez is an award-winning engineer, manager, and strategic thinker. She has spent more than a decade working on space technologies and applications both in Europe, where she was Technical Officer at the European Space Agency (ESA) and Australia.
She works at the intersection of deep-tech and sustainability, driving Breakthrough Victoria’s responsible investment practise as well as providing sector-advice and leading Space related investments. Prior to Breakthrough Victoria, she was the Space Lead at FrontierSI and held several roles at its predecessor, the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information (CRCSI) where she lead the design, creation and implementation of long-term strategic work in the space and spatial sectors.
She was also involved in the creation of the SmartSatCRC, where she was Manager of the Earth Observation Program advancing research-industry collaborations. She also worked as a Satellite and Systems Specialist at the Bureau of Meteorology. Eva holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering and Management and Bachelor in Telematics from BarcelonaTech.
As a 2021 “Superstars of STEM” of Science and Technology Australia, she is a strong advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and aims to break stereotypes and inspire the next generation of women to join science and technology fields.
