Maddie is a strategic operational leader with over a decade of experience across higher education, research, and advanced technology sectors. She has led large, complex organisational units and multi-institutional partnerships, specialising in translating strategy into effective operational delivery. In her previous role at Queensland University of Technology, she provided operational leadership for the School of Mechanical, Medical and Process Engineering, supporting workforce planning, governance, and organisational performance.

She has also held senior roles in nationally funded research initiatives, including the ARC Training Centre for Joint Biomechanics, where she managed a multi‑university and industry‑partnered centre focused on workforce development and research translation. Earlier in her career, Maddie led engineering and commercial teams within the additive manufacturing and personalised healthcare sectors, delivering advanced solutions to global markets. Her experience consistently centres on strengthening collaboration across diverse stakeholders, and delivering programs that support innovation, commercialisation, and future workforce needs.
