Trailblazer finalists in AusSpace 24 Australian Space Awards

iLAuNCH Trailblazer projects, universities and team members have been shortlisted for the AusSpace24 Australian Space Awards.

The AusSpace24 Australian Space Awards celebrates the achievements of individuals and businesses who have been instrumental in driving the development of Australia’s space sector.

The finalist list features over 160 high-achieving professionals and businesses across 25 categories.

The AusSpace24 Australian Space Awards acknowledges all space industry stakeholders, from the major listed organisations and corporates servicing Australia’s space sector to SMEs, start-ups, academic institutions and associations driving innovation and taking the industry to new heights.

Congratulations to our 6 finalists:

  • Academic Research Team of the Year, Fabian Zander representing the Hypersonics and Rocketry Group from the University of Southern Queensland, and the iLAuNCH Trailblazer project – the successful observation of the OSIRIS-REx re-entry capsule.
  • Executive of the Year, Darin Lovett, iLAuNCH Trailblazer.
  • University of the Year, University of Southern Queensland, the lead university in the iLAuNCH Trailblazer program.
  • Female Space Leader of the Year – SME, Milica Symul, iLAuNCH Trailblazer.
  • Academic of the Year, Professor Colin Hall, University of South Australia’s lead for the iLAuNCH Trailblazer program.
  • Rising Star of the Year – SME, Jacqui Tyack, The Write Space, for promoting the iLAuNCH Trailblazer program.

It’s inspiring to be surrounded by such talented individuals from iLAuNCH Trailblazers including ANU Institute for Space | InSpace, Boeing, Nominal Systems, One Giant Leap Australia Foundation, Saber Astronautics, and Southern Launch.
